Primary Gale Slash (初烈風斬り, Shoretsu Kazakiri) is the eighth form of Wind Breathing (風の呼吸), used twice by Sanemi Shinazugawa against Muzan in the Infinity Castle battle (Vols. 20 and 23). VIZ's "PRIMARY GALE SLASH" is a direct, near-literal translation: 初 ("first/primary") marks it as Sanemi's base heavy strike, 烈風 ("fierce gale") names a violent windstorm, and 斬り ("slash") is the standard sword-technique suffix. It reads as the plainest, most utilitarian name of the numbered set — no folklore, no poetry, just a hard, fast, named cut.

初烈風斬り is the one form in this dictionary's Wind Breathing set with no cultural or mythological baggage to unpack — every kanji does exactly the job it looks like it does, and VIZ's translation is correspondingly unremarkable in the best sense: nothing added, nothing lost. That plainness is itself informative about where it sits in Sanemi's arsenal: named "primary" (初), it reads as his default heavy-hit finisher, the technique he reaches for repeatedly rather than the situational tricks of the surrounding named forms.
